Is Your VarioGate Rattling?

We’ve found over the years, some customers in their haste to finish the assembly tend to not follow the last step in the installation process which requires you to tighten the upright poles as much as humanly possible.

At the bottom of these poles is a rubber and bolt mechanism.

When the poles are tightened the rubber expands, and this holds the upright pole firmly in place. If the poles aren’t tightened enough, the bolt / rubber over time will, with the natural vibrations of the car, become loose and eventually fall out. This will cause the VarioGate to rattle.

The solution is to remove the gate from the car, remove all upright poles, tip the gate frame upside down to remove any loose bolts / rubbers. You can then check each pole for the rubber / bolt. These should be finger tight.
